$110 for an aqua jet peel with LED. That’s a professional-grade deep pore cleanse at lunch-break speed.
The Korean philosophy
The aqua jet peel represents Korean skincare’s love of technological innovation applied to fundamental skin care principles. Rather than relying on harsh chemicals or abrasives for exfoliation, it uses the power of pressurized water and targeted serums to achieve a deeper clean with less irritation.
The ritual
Cleansing
5 minA water-based cleanser removes surface oil and makeup. The aqua jet device works best on clean, bare skin.
Aqua jet exfoliation
10 minThe device delivers high-pressure saline mixed with AHA/BHA solution in a fine jet stream. You’ll feel a cool, pressurized sensation as it blasts away dead skin and loosens pore congestion. More intense than a standard aqua peel.
Deep pore suction
8 minThe device switches to vacuum mode to extract loosened debris. You can see the collected material in the waste container — satisfyingly gross.
Serum infusion
7 minThe device delivers customized serums (hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, growth factors) under pressure directly into freshly cleaned pores.
LED + finish
12 minRed and blue LED therapy calms any redness and boosts collagen. A lightweight moisturizer and SPF finish the treatment.
Your first time
Similar to a standard aqua peel but noticeably more intense. The water jet pressure is stronger — you’ll feel it working more deeply on congested areas like the nose, chin, and forehead. It’s not painful, but it’s not as gentle as a basic aqua peel. The suction step feels like a strong vacuum on your pores. If you’ve had a HydraFacial before, this is the next level up. The LED portion at the end is relaxing. You walk out with visibly cleaner, smoother skin.
When to book
Great 1-2 days before an event for an intense pore-clearing glow. For maintenance, every 2-4 weeks. Avoid scheduling right after a sunburn or during an active breakout. If you have sensitive skin, start with a standard aqua peel and graduate to the jet version.
Best for
Not recommended for
East vs West
The aqua jet peel operates at higher pressures than standard Western hydradermabrasion systems, providing a deeper exfoliation. Korean clinics also include LED therapy and custom serum infusion as part of the base treatment — things that are $50-100 add-ons at Western med-spas.
Aftercare
Avoid heavy makeup for 12 hours. Use a gentle cleanser and hydrating toner. SPF is essential — freshly exfoliated skin is more photosensitive. Avoid retinol and strong acids for 24 hours.
