The Korean philosophy

Korean aesthetics prioritize non-surgical solutions wherever possible. For mild to moderate eye bags, RF and ultrasound can tighten loose skin and stimulate collagen without going under the knife. The approach is conservative, cumulative, and reversible — core Korean treatment principles.

The ritual

1

Assessment

5 min

The practitioner evaluates the severity and type of your eye bags: fat protrusion, skin laxity, or fluid retention. This determines the treatment settings and approach.

2

RF + ultrasound treatment

15 min

A specialized small-tip device delivers alternating RF and ultrasound energy to the under-eye area. You’ll feel warmth and mild tingling. The practitioner moves slowly and carefully — the under-eye area is delicate.

3

Cooling and finishing

10 min

A cooling device or cold compress reduces any warmth or swelling. A specialized eye serum with peptides is applied to support the tightening process.

Your first time

The treatment is performed with a small handheld device around the under-eye area. You’ll feel warmth — like a warm compress — and mild tingling. The practitioner works slowly and checks your comfort throughout. The under-eye area may look slightly puffy or pink for a few hours after, similar to how eyes look after crying. This resolves quickly. Results develop gradually over weeks to months as collagen tightens. Don’t expect overnight transformation — the magic happens over 2-3 months.

When to book

Start 3-4 months before you want peak results. Plan for 3-4 sessions spaced 2-4 weeks apart. Maintenance every 6 months. Don’t schedule right before a photo event — mild swelling is possible for 24-48 hours.

Best for

Mild to moderate under-eye bagsEarly signs of lower eyelid laxityThose wanting to avoid surgeryPrevention of eye bag progression

Not recommended for

Severe eye bags (surgery may be more appropriate)Active eye conditionsThose with unrealistic expectations — this is improvement, not elimination

East vs West

Western clinics typically offer either RF or ultrasound for the eye area, charging premium prices for each modality separately. Korean clinics combine both technologies in a single session at a lower price point. The combination approach addresses multiple aspects of eye bags simultaneously.

Aftercare

Mild swelling is normal for 24-48 hours. Apply a cold compress if needed. Use a gentle eye cream — avoid retinol near the eye area for 3-5 days. Stay hydrated and get adequate sleep to support the healing process. Results build over weeks — be patient.
