The Korean philosophy
Korean body contouring follows the same “gentle and consistent” philosophy as Korean facial skincare. Rather than aggressive liposuction or CoolSculpting, LipoLaser offers a gentler approach that can be done regularly. The addition of lymphatic massage reflects the Korean belief that the body’s natural drainage systems should be supported, not bypassed.
The ritual
Assessment
5 minMeasurements are taken of the treatment area. Progress photos are captured. The laser pads are positioned on the target area (abdomen, thighs, arms, etc.).
LipoLaser session
20 minLaser pads are placed directly on the skin over the target area. The low-level laser emits a warm red glow. You’ll feel gentle warmth but no pain. You lie still while the laser works on the fat cells.
Lymphatic massage
15 minAfter the laser, a trained therapist performs lymphatic drainage massage on the treatment area. This helps your body flush the released fat cell contents through the lymphatic system. Firm, rhythmic strokes toward lymph nodes.
Progress check
5 minMeasurements are taken after the session. Hydration and light exercise are recommended to support lymphatic drainage.
Your first time
You’ll change into a robe and lie on a treatment bed. Flat laser pads (similar to heating pads) are placed on your treatment area. You’ll feel gentle warmth — it’s actually quite relaxing. After 20 minutes, the pads are removed and a therapist performs a firm but comfortable lymphatic massage. The whole experience is painless and somewhat spa-like. You won’t see dramatic results after one session — this is a cumulative treatment. Drink plenty of water and do light exercise in the 24 hours after to support lymphatic drainage.
When to book
Commit to 2-3 sessions per week for 4-6 weeks for best results. Don’t start right before a big event expecting immediate change — results are gradual. Exercise and hydration between sessions significantly improve outcomes.

East vs West
Korean clinics include lymphatic drainage massage as a standard part of the treatment, significantly enhancing results. Western clinics typically offer the laser portion only and charge separately for any massage or body work. The Korean protocol also costs 55-65% less per session, making the recommended multi-session commitment more accessible.
Aftercare
Drink at least 2 liters of water in the 24 hours after treatment. Light exercise (walking, yoga) within 4 hours of treatment helps flush released fat through the lymphatic system. Avoid alcohol and heavy meals for 24 hours. Results are cumulative — don’t skip sessions.
