The Korean philosophy

The under-eye area has the thinnest skin on the body, and standard treatments are often too heavy or aggressive for it. Korean dermatology developed specific formulations for this area — the “i” in Rejuran i stands for “eye.” This precision approach is quintessentially Korean: identifying a specific concern and developing a targeted solution rather than forcing a general product to work everywhere.

The ritual

1

Assessment and numbing

10 min

The practitioner evaluates the under-eye area and applies numbing cream. The numbing takes effect over 20-30 minutes. Your specific concerns (dark circles, lines, texture) determine the injection pattern.

2

PDRN micro-injection

10 min

Using a very fine needle, tiny amounts of the PDRN solution are injected in a grid pattern under the eyes. The injections are superficial and precise. With numbing cream, you’ll feel pressure but minimal pain.

3

Cooling and finish

5 min

A cooling compress reduces any swelling. A specialized eye serum is gently applied. You may notice tiny bumps at the injection sites — these flatten within 24-48 hours.

Your first time

After numbing cream takes effect, the practitioner uses a very fine needle to make tiny injections under your eyes. You’ll feel some pressure and mild prickling but the numbing cream makes it very tolerable. The entire injection process takes about 10 minutes. Afterward, you’ll notice tiny bumps at the injection sites and mild swelling — this is normal and resolves within 24-48 hours. The results develop gradually over 2-4 weeks as the PDRN stimulates collagen production. After 3-4 sessions, the improvement in skin quality, dark circles, and fine lines is significant.

When to book

Allow 3-5 days before events for injection bumps and swelling to fully resolve. Plan for 3-4 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Results peak 1-2 months after the last session and last 6-12 months. Maintenance sessions every 3-6 months.

East vs West

Rejuran i is a Korean-developed product that’s specifically formulated for the under-eye area. Most Western alternatives (PRP, generic mesotherapy) are not eye-area specific. The Korean formulation has a thinner viscosity designed for the delicate periorbital skin, reducing the risk of visible bumps and improving comfort.

Aftercare

Don’t touch, rub, or apply makeup to the under-eye area for 24 hours. Tiny bumps are normal and flatten within 24-48 hours. Sleep slightly elevated on the first night to minimize swelling. Avoid heavy exercise and alcohol for 24 hours. Use a gentle eye cream and SPF.
