$40/session for clinical LED therapy. Your at-home LED mask cost $300+ and puts out a fraction of the power — this is the real thing at drive-through prices.
The Korean philosophy
LED therapy embodies the Korean “gentle consistency” approach. No single session transforms your skin, but regular treatments — weekly or biweekly — create cumulative improvements that compounds over time. Korean clinics add LED to almost every treatment as a “booster” step.
The ritual
Cleansing
3 minA quick cleanse removes sunscreen and makeup. Clean skin allows maximum light penetration — any residue on the surface can scatter the wavelengths.
Wavelength selection
2 minThe esthetician selects the wavelength based on your concerns: red (630-660nm) for anti-aging and collagen, blue (415nm) for acne, or near-infrared (830nm) for deep healing. Many sessions combine two or three.
LED panel positioning
2 minA large clinical-grade LED panel is positioned a few inches from your face. You’ll wear protective goggles. The panel covers your entire face evenly — no moving it around.
Light exposure
15 minYou lie still while the light does its work. You’ll feel gentle warmth but no heat. It’s deeply relaxing — many people fall asleep. The light looks red, blue, or a combination through your goggles.
Post-treatment serum
3 minA hydrating or calming serum is applied to freshly treated skin. Your cells are in an activated state, so products absorb more effectively right after LED.
Your first time
This is the least intimidating treatment you can get. You lie down on a treatment bed, put on goggles, and a large LED panel is positioned over your face. You’ll see a warm glow through your goggles and feel gentle warmth on your skin. That’s it. No tingling, no burning, no discomfort. Most people zone out or nap. After 15-20 minutes, the light turns off, a serum goes on, and you’re done. Your skin looks the same immediately after — the magic happens over the following days as collagen production ramps up.
When to book
No timing restrictions — you can do this any time, even the day of an event. For best results, commit to 2-3 sessions per week for 4-6 weeks. After that, once a week or as an add-on to monthly facials maintains the results. LED pairs beautifully with almost every other treatment on this list.

East vs West
The technology is identical, but Korean clinics typically include LED as a complimentary add-on to facials and other treatments — it’s $0-30 extra. Western dermatologists charge $75-150 for standalone LED sessions. Korean clinics also tend to use larger, more powerful clinical panels rather than handheld devices.
Aftercare
No special aftercare needed. This is one of the gentlest treatments available. Apply your normal routine immediately after.
