$80 for a facial cupping session. That’s less than a jade roller and gua sha combo — and this is the professional version with immediate visible results.
The Korean philosophy
Traditional Korean medicine has used cupping (buahng) for centuries to improve circulation and relieve stagnation. Facial cupping adapts this ancient technique with smaller cups and gentler suction, applying the same principles to the face: where circulation flows freely, skin is healthy and vibrant. Where it stagnates, skin shows aging, puffiness, and dullness.
The ritual
Facial cleansing
5 minA gentle cleanse removes all products. Clean skin ensures the cups glide smoothly and the suction is consistent.
Facial oil application
3 minA generous layer of facial oil is applied as a slip agent. The cups need to glide continuously — they should never stick in one place on the face (that’s what causes marks).
Forehead and temples
7 minSmall cups are used in sweeping motions across the forehead and temples. The gentle suction lifts tension from the frontalis muscle (forehead muscle) and promotes circulation in an area prone to fine lines.
Cheeks and nasolabial area
10 minThe cups work along the cheekbones and around the nasolabial folds. This is where the de-puffing and lifting effects are most dramatic. The suction helps redrape the tissue and soften the nose-to-mouth lines.
Jawline and neck
10 minCupping along the jawline sculpts and defines. Neck cupping promotes drainage of fluid that causes facial puffiness. The suction followed by release creates a pumping effect that activates the lymphatic system.
Calming serum and moisturizer
5 minA hydrating serum and moisturizer are applied. Your skin has been deeply stimulated and is optimally receptive to products. The increased blood flow gives you a healthy, rosy glow.
Your first time
Facial cupping feels unusual but pleasant. After oil is applied, the practitioner squeezes small silicone cups, places them on your face, and glides them in upward and outward strokes. You’ll feel gentle suction pulling your skin — like a mild vacuum. It’s not painful at all. The cups are in constant motion, so there’s no risk of marks (that only happens when cups are left in one spot, which is NEVER done on the face). The sensation is actually quite satisfying — similar to a gua sha but with more consistent pressure. After the treatment, your face looks noticeably lifted and your skin has a healthy pink glow. The de-puffing effect is visible immediately.
When to book
Great any time — zero downtime. Excellent in the morning for instant de-puffing, or before an event for a lifted, glowing look. Weekly sessions build cumulative lifting and firming results. Wait at least 2 weeks after any injectable treatments before facial cupping. Pair with a facial for enhanced results.

East vs West
Western facial cupping is typically a brief add-on to another treatment. Korean facial cupping is a standalone treatment with dedicated technique and longer treatment time. Korean practitioners draw from traditional buahng (cupping) theory to select specific pathways and meridians for the cups, adding a therapeutic dimension beyond the mechanical lifting effect.
Aftercare
Your skin may be slightly flushed for an hour — this is increased circulation and a good sign. Apply moisturizer and SPF. Avoid heavy makeup for a few hours. Drink water to support lymphatic drainage. If you see any marks (rare with correct technique), they’ll fade within 24 hours.
