Western
$100 for a clinical galvanic facial. Your NuFace cost $300+ and runs at a fraction of the power — this is the professional version at one-third the device price.
The Korean philosophy
Korean beauty culture embraces technology as part of the skincare ritual. Galvanic current was one of the first beauty technologies to cross from clinic to home use in Korea. The clinical version delivers what your NuFace or home galvanic device promises but at professional-grade power levels. Korean clinics pair the technology with premium serums for maximum penetration.
The ritual
Cleansing
5 minA thorough water-based cleanse removes all surface impurities. The galvanic current needs direct skin contact to work effectively.
Conductive gel
3 minA water-based conductive gel is applied to ensure even current distribution across your face. This gel also contains active ingredients that will be driven deeper by the current.
Desincrustation
8 minThe galvanic device is set to negative polarity and moved across your face. This softens sebum plugs in your pores and loosens impurities. You may feel a very mild metallic tingle — it’s subtle and painless.
Deep cleansing
5 minAfter the current has loosened debris, a gentle extraction or suction step removes the softened impurities from your pores.
Active serum application
3 minA concentrated serum (vitamin C, peptides, or hyaluronic acid) is applied to clean, prepped skin.
Iontophoresis
12 minThe device switches to positive polarity and drives the active serum molecules deep into your dermis. The current pushes charged ingredients far beyond where they’d normally reach. You’ll feel gentle warmth and a slight tingle.
Moisturizer + SPF finish
5 minA hydrating moisturizer and SPF seal in the deeply-infused actives. Your skin should feel firmer and look more toned immediately.
Your first time
The galvanic device looks like a small metallic wand or paddle. After cleansing, a conductive gel goes on your face, and the esthetician glides the device slowly across your skin. You’ll feel a very mild tingle or metallic taste — this is normal and means the current is flowing. It’s not painful at all. The device moves in slow, methodical strokes. You might notice your facial muscles gently contracting. The whole experience is calm and relaxing. You walk out with firmer-feeling, more radiant skin. No redness, no downtime.
When to book
Great any time — no downtime means you can do this the morning of an event. For cumulative lifting and firming, every 2-4 weeks for 6-8 sessions builds noticeable results. Pairs beautifully with any serum-heavy facial for enhanced absorption.

East vs West
Western galvanic facials tend to use one mode (usually just the lifting/firming iontophoresis). Korean clinics use both modes — desincrustation for deep cleansing first, then iontophoresis for product infusion — making it a more complete treatment. Korean clinics also pair the galvanic current with higher-quality serums as standard.
Aftercare
No special aftercare needed. Your skin has received enhanced product delivery, so avoid layering too many actives for 24 hours — the galvanic treatment already pushed plenty of ingredients deep into your skin.
